RICKETTS GLEN

I enjoy going to Ricketts Glen just like most people do. That's where part of the problem lies however, when a place is popular, usually it is also crowded. The nice thing about Ricketts is though that it is big enough to hold a lot of people without being crowded, allowing for plenty of photo opportunities.

_DSC2115 It seems the big attractions for most people are the waterfalls, and while though I find them pretty, I think there are plenty of other things to take photographs of. 

_DSC2094 Thankfully it was a beautiful day when we went as a family. The bugs were not bad at all, the temperature is always a bit cooler in the woods, but when you're hiking that's not a bad thing, and the trails were perfect for walking.

_DSC2125WetPlate Some of the photos here I have played around with a bit, and some I have not. You honestly don't have to do a lot to your photos from Ricketts to get them to look nice, but sometimes doing a little extra to them can go a long way.

_DSC2195 _DSC2162 I've always had an affinity for old tree stumps, don't know why, but ever since I first started taking photos they have seemed to catch my eye. One thing to remember when you go, take your tripod if you have one, and if you don't, well, it's not a bad investment.
